Expressen and DN Win Paper of the Year Prizes

Today industry association Tidningsutgivarna announced its winners of the Daily Newspaper of the Year awards. Several prizes went to Bonnier: Expressen, which won for editorial staff of the year, and Dagens Nyheter, which won for advertising department of the year.

Expressen's iPhone App Updated

Now with editorial, op-ed and culture sections, daily newspaper Expressen's iPhone app has been downloaded over 60,000 times.

Last week, Swedish daily Expressen launched its iPhone app. On June 14, the app was updated with editorial, op-ed and culture sections. The app has been uploaded by over 60,000 so far and quickly became No. 1 on the download list at the App Store in Sweden. The newspaper's cell-phone site is also seeing plenty of success, with a record 1,888,254 page views last week.

Royal Wedding Gets Massive Media Coverage

TV4, Expressen and S magazine along with other media gave readers and viewers front-row seats to Crown Princess Victoria's wedding.

No one in Europe could have missed last weekend's biggest news from Sweden: Crown Princess Victoria finally got her Prince Daniel. The wedding was watched with interest by royalists and republicans alike - and the media of course. TV4 broadcast before, during and after the wedding and was also a major partner for Love Stockholm 2010, the city festival held in conjunction with the wedding in Stockholm June 6-20.

Record Site Traffic for Expressen.se

2.2 million unique visitors came to Expressen.se during the week of August 9-15, breaking Expressen.se's previous record.  

Expressen.se had 2,176,291 unique visits in week 33, August 9-15. This is 26 percent higher than the same period last year and a record for the site. It is most likely the best figure ever for a Swedish Bonnier site. Expressen.se led with two big pieces that week, the Princess Madeleine engagement and an article series on Afghanistan.

The previous record was 2,025,509 unique visits during the week when Expressen revealed Crown Princess Victoria's engagement.
