Vi Föräldrar's Cover Contest a Success Again

Vi Föräldrar's web traffic increased 128 last year during its cover contest. Project manager Irini Hedin Despiniadis expects a repeat this year.

In April 2010, the Swedish Bonnier Tidskrifter magazine Vi Föräldrar (We parents) launched its first cover contest, inspired by Bonnier Corporation's Babytalk. Readers compete to have their child grace the cover of the magazine and win prizes.

The contest was a success: 7,000 photos were uploaded, traffic to viföräldrar.se increased 128 percent during the first part of the contest, and over 180,000 votes were tallied.

Mat & Hälsa Newest Title from Vi Föräldrar Special Magazines

Vi Föräldrar Specialtidningar - a flexible assortment of special issue magazines from parenting magazine Vi Föräldrar - releases its latest new title.

Vi Föräldrar Mat & Hälsa  is the latest addition to the Vi Föräldrar family. The new magazine, together with Gravid, Första Året and Junior, falls under the new brand Vi Föräldrar Specialtidningar.

Vi Föräldrar Specialtidningar will publish six issues this year: Gravid (pregnancy) and Mat & Hälsa will come out twice, and the other titles once each.

Mother's Confessions a Hit for Bonnier Tidskrifter

A special event gives mothers free expression thanks to magazines mama, Vi Föräldrar and website Alltombarn.se.

Sunday May 30 is Mother's Day in Sweden and for the second year in a row, Bonnier Tidskrifter is organizing  Mammabikten - "The Mother's Confession." The magazines Mama and Vi Föräldrar and website Alltombarn.se are holding the event together, with Bonnier Tidskrifters event department Creative the driving

Swedish Vi Föräldrar takes a page from Babytalk with a new baby cover contest.

To have your baby on the cover of  Swedish parenting magazine Vi Föräldrar is the dream of many Vi Föräldrar readers. And now they will finally have a chance: Due to strong demand, Vi Föräldrar will be launching a cover contest. The contest opened on April 19 and entries can be sent in until May 30. After that, visitors to the site will be able to vote on the photos and the five babies with the most votes will be featured in a "fashion" spread in the magazine.

Vaggan – a better life for disabled children

The Lopselis orphanage is located in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second largest city. It is run by the Vaggan Foundation, with Dagens Medicin and Vi Föräldrar as two of its main sponsors.

In Lithuania, 3,500 children are abandoned every year. Sixty percent of them are disabled. One of the most common causes is fetal alcohol syndrome, a disorder caused by drinking during pregnancy.
