Life At Bonnier - Børsen

How Børsen Succeeded on a Saturday

Danish business daily Børsen recently put out a special election edition, a first for a Saturday. Sarah Louise Meinertz explains how readers reacted.

On Friday, Aug. 26, Denmark's then Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen called for an election to be held three weeks later, Anders Krab-Johansen, editor-in-chief of business daily Børsen said to a few staff members: "What a shame we don't have a newspaper tomorrow." Like many business dailies, Børsen is published on weekdays only.

Meet Anni Rein

GROW participant from Finland's MTV3 fits right in with Danish culture and life at business daily Børsen.

Anni Rein says she must have been a Copenhagener in a former life. "I've surprised myself with how easily I've blended in here in Copenhagen," says Rein, who moved from Helsinki to live in Copenhagen for three months as part of the GROW program.

New Editor-in-Chief and CEO for Børsen

Anders Krab-Johansen returns to run Danish business daily Børsen.

With the new year, the Danish business daily Børsen will be getting a new editor-in-chief and CEO. Anders Krab-Johansen, currently the editorial director for TV2 news in Denmark, will be taking over the reins from Leif Beck Fallesen, who has been with the company for 25 years.

Dagens Medicin Changes with the Times

Dagens Medicin recently moved offices to be close to sister publication Dagens Industri. For CEO Anders Eriksson, the move provides synergies and ideas for a brand that is building on its strengths and going in new directions.

When Anders Eriksson, CEO for Bonnier Business Press International, had the opportunity to move all the Swedish publications of the company into one place, he jumped at the chance. "Most of our businesses are so spread out geographically around Europe, it's great when we get such an opportunity to take advantage of it," he says.
