Ylva Lundberg: A dream of my own avocado tree

Our Swedish GROW blogger Ylva works hard to do all the must-do's before she leaves Florida: rocket launch, alligators, Halloween and an avocado tree of her own

Hi there! Right now I'm a little desperate to make sure that I get to do and see all the things that I want before I leave. A week ago I accomplished one of those things on my list. Steve, his friend (Dennis), and I went down to Titusville to see the launch of the 327-foot Ares I-X rocket. It was Tuesday morning and we left at 6am to be there on time. We got there on time, but it turned out to be hours of waiting and sadly enough we had to go home. Apparently there were too many clouds and other ridiculous obstacles for the rocket to launch.

Ylva Lundberg: Snorkling, burgers and one-legged turtles

Our GROW ambassador Ylva visits a skateboard event, goes snorkling and puts on bad sunscreen

Hi there. This weekend me and my handyman went to the Dew Tour to see some of the best skaters and BMX riders compete and showing off there best tricks. This was a really fun event going on the whole weekend. What I think is very interesting with the publishing industry here is how they not only use traditional marketing channels like printed and digital medias but also how you can market the magazines through events and other happenings. I think that's a great way to build up loyalty towards advertisers as well as the subscribers.

Ylva Lundberg: Why American envelopes needs more color

Our Swedish GROW ambassador Ylva explains why American direct mail needs more color

Hi there, Last week something scary happened. I woke up and left the building for my one minute walk to the office. But, the hot, sweaty humidity that hits me in the face when I open the front door was gone! I was so sad. Did I only get one month of hot sweaty weather?! Luckily this was just a two day event and now the heat is on again. I am happy!

Ylva Lundberg: See You Later, Alligator!

Our GROW ambassador Ylva Lundberg enjoys life at Bonnier Corporation in Florida — apart from the washing machine of course

Hey y'all, over there! Three weeks ago I left Malmo, Sweden and my job at Homeenter, the Nordic countries' largest Film, Music and Children's Film Club. In Malmo, I mainly work with the development and planning of our Collectables Series and with printed media such as direct mail, inserts, ads and other print activities.
