Swedish woman's magazine Tara celebrated 11 years with a dinner for readers.

When Tara turned ten last year, the Swedish women's magazine held a big party at Stockholm's Nalen club, with advertisers, partners and freelancers. But for its 11th birthday, the magazine wanted to do something completely different and decided it was the readers' turn to celebrate with Tara.

The idea, based on TV4's popular food program Halv åtta hos mig (7:30 at my place), came from the editorial staff of the magazine.

Lasse Åberg's latest film, The Stig-Helmer Story, featuring the beloved film character who first appeared in the Swedish cult classic Sällskapsresan in 1980, premiered on Christmas Day 2011 and has - as usual - been a big success with filmgoers.

Tomas Tranströmer's upcoming Nobel Prize is icing on the cake says his long-time publisher, Eva Bonnier. It's a very public symbol of the value of nurturing authors.

On Saturday, the Nobel Prize will be awarded to one of Sweden's most beloved poets. Tomas Tranströmer has been with Albert Bonniers Förlag since his 1954 debut, 17 Poems. According to Eva Bonnier, his publisher for the past 20 years, he was an accomplished poet from the beginning.

Eva Bonnier wastes no time getting down to the issue of the relationship between publisher and author. A good relationship between a publisher and an author guarantees that the author will stay with the publisher, she says.

Q&A with Casten Almqvist

Casten Almqvist takes over as CEO for the TV4 Group today.

How does it feel your first day?

I feel pretty prepared, since during the fall I've traveled over 25,000 kilometers all over Sweden, mostly by car, from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south. I've met not just many colleagues, but customers and partners as well.

What's your impression of TV4 just now?

The main feeling is that things are very bright!

What are the biggest opportunities?

I see a long list of possibilities for TV4 right now.
