The release of News+, Bonnier's new daily newspaper platform for tablet computers, has made a big splash - not least on Twitter. As of the morning of Friday, Nov. 26, just two days after the release, more than 600 tweets had been posted about News+.
Chris Thorpe of Jaggeree and Guardian website developer, Ben Hammersley, of SIX Creative and editor-at-large for Wired magazine, and Olle Lidbom of Sweden's Vassa Eggen media blog are just a few of the people who have posted tweets about News+. And tweets about News+ have appeared not just in English and Swedish, but in Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Norwegian and Spanish as well.
Most link to the concept video - the English and Swedish versions of the video have had a total of 17,500 viewings so far at Vimeo and on Youtube (on Vimeo in English here and Swedish here; on Youtube in English here and Swedish here).
