Bonnier's sales organization for web media, Bink, has acquired Tailsweep. Sitting under the Bink umbrella already are the Di.se, DN.se, Expressen.se and Bonnier Tidskrifter brands. With the acquisition of Tailsweep, Bonnier will broaden its reach and deepen its relations with important target groups.
"Web media is now a central channel for establishing and strengthening brands, and for many advertisers, bloggers and social media play a crucial role in success," says Martin Ahrend, CEO of Bink. "Tailsweep is a strategic complement to our current business. As a result of the acquisition, we'll have the market's biggest range within a number of segments and we'll be able to attract new kinds of customers."
Tailsweep's competence within marketing among blogs and social media will be further developed under Bink, Tailsweep will continue to retain its brand and organization.
"Like our other brands within Bink, Tailsweep will continue to grow under its own power," says Ahrend. "The company will stay in its current offices and function independently under the Bink umbrella as the Tailsweep brand."
