Bonnier Joins Aller and Egmont in Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative

Bonnier has founded the Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative with other magazine publishers. The initiative aims to ensure standards, improve the reader experience and better collaborate with advertisers when it comes to e-readers.

Bonnier is joining two of the Nordic region's biggest magazine publishers in starting a new initiative to strengthen the market for digital magazines. A common store is one of the things that will be investigated in the Nordic Digital Magazine Initiative. Along with Bonnier, the founders are Aller and Egmont.

"Our readers love their magazines," says Erik Aller, director general for Aller. "We want to ensure that our readers have an equally amazing experience reading on a tablet computer.

Twilight Movie Night Nearly Sold Out

On June 30, the third Twilight movie Eclipse has its world premier. At Sweden's SF Bio, fans can get a headstart with a marathon viewing of the first two movies followed by a showing of Eclipse at midnight.

At 27 of SF Bio's cinemas in Sweden, a special Twilight Movie Night will be held on June 29. The first and second film of the series wil be shown during the evening, and at midnight the third film will have its world premier - The Twilight Saga - Eclipse. The official premier is actually June 30, so SF Bio's event is the first showing of the film for which you can buy tickets.

Finland's Aamun Radio Launches Website

Radio Nova's popular morning show Aamun Radio grabs listeners with a new website.

News flash from Finland: Aamun Radio, the morning program at Radio Nova is in rebellion. The show, with 445,000 weekly listeners, is one of the most popular at Finland's No. 1 commercial radio station. "The problem is that we produce so much content that radionova.fi doesn't have the site capacity to handle it," Aamun radio scriptwriter Jupe Tuomola was quoted as saying in a recent press release.

SDS Launches Hamtmat.se Takeout Food Delivery for the Web and iPhone

A week ago, the SDS Group launched Sweden's newest site for food lovers: Hamtmat.se, for ordering takeout food delivery via the web. Site visitors type in their postal codes and they get a list of restaurants offering takeout delivery. They can then order and pay via the site, and the food will be delivered to their doorsteps. 

The service is also available as an iPhone application.

The new TV series takes viewers to Florida's hottest destinations and offers insider tips on where to stay, dine, shop and play. Florida Travel + Life's Affordable Luxury debuted this month and airs Saturdays in the U.S. on the Travel Channel, with additional air dates on channels such as Sun Sports.
