Bonnier Tidskrifter has undertaken a Quality Readership Study of 23 of the publisher's magazines. Some 10,500 readers have answered questions about everything from why they read the magazine to what they think of the ads. The results were interesting:
- Over 50 percent of readers will read a magazine at least three times and some 80 percent would miss the magazine if it were discontinued.
- More than half of readers have searched for more information on the Internet after reading something in a magazine and 45 percent speak often with others about what they've read.
Questions about ads were also asked. Half of the readers like reading them, and over 40 percent say that the ads inspire them and provide new and good information. Plus over 50 percent have purchased goods or services, 46 percent at a bricks and mortar shop and 60 percent online, after reading an ad.
