Chris Tauber New Group Brand Director of Travel & Lifestyle Group

Chris Tauber, who has been spearheading Islands magazine's digital efforts with multiple iPhone apps and its upcoming iPad launch, has been promoted to the newly created position of Group Brand Director, overseeing several of Bonnier Corporation's travel brands.

The announcement was made by Sue Gilman, group publisher of the travel and lifestyle group.

"Chris' vision has been at the forefront of the success we've had with Islands,"Gilman says. "Now he'll be in a leadership position to share his insights and practical experience at the digital frontier across all of our brands."

In addition to Islands, Tauber will execute the brand direction of Caribbean Travel & Life, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Florida Travel & Life and Spa.

At Islands, Tauber has helped foster teamwork to enhance content for the award-winning magazine and to create new opportunities for digital brand extensions. (Apps for iPhone and iPad, for example – read more here.)

"The iPad launch of Islands' November issue is also a great example of the editorial team collaborating from the idea phase with the business, marketing and development teams.
