On Monday, Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter invited a number of its advertsiers to a breakfast meeting at Escalier in Central Stockholm. The meetings were to talk about the newspaper's new weekend edition. Advertising director Henrik Stangel and project manager Lotta Härdlin explained the changes and the opportunities they would provide for customers.
"We've had regular contact with customers and agencies during the whole creation process so this meeting was a natural part of the launch," says Kristofer Dalin, project manager at DN and the person responsible for the meetings. "We've had similar meetings throughout. Purely in terms of business, these meetings are a great way to strengthen relations both in the long and the short run."
There will be plenty of future opportunities for advertisers to meet DN in the future as well.
"Next time we meet, we'll talk about the feedback from readers and other advertisers and what we've done to meet the demands of the market," says Dalin.
