Evening tabloid Göteborgs-Tidningen will get a new editor-in-chief this spring when Göteborg native Frida Boisen takes over. Boisen has previously worked at Göteborgs-Posten and Expressen, among other places. Most recently, she has been editor-in-chief for Bonnier Tidskrifter's ToppHälsa and Allt om Resor, both successful magazines that have increased their readership according to recent data from independent analyst Orvesto.
"I've had three amazing and fun years at Bonnier Tidskrifter, where I got to develop ToppHälsa, which has increased profitability many times over in the last years. I also got to run Allt om Resor, and to now take over GT and run an evening paper is a wonderful chllange. I love tabloids!" Boisen says.
"I'm truly passionate about the chance to make an important newspaper, 365 days a year. I believe and want that the local evening paper should be seen, heard and take an even bigger part in local debate."
The GT edition is a market leader in western Sweden.
"Lars Näslund has done a fantastic job for nine years and will continue with new challenges at Expressen," says Thomas Mattsson, publisher for Expressen. "With Frida Boisen as the new editor-in-chief, GT will continue to focus on local news and campaign journalism."
