Jonas Eriksson named new CEO of Canal+
Jonas Eriksson comes from Bonnier Broadcasting & Entertainment, where he worked as Vice President since 2005. Executive Vice President, he was also the Bonnier Magazine Group between 2002 and 2005. Before that he was acting CEO of Bonnier Magazines, business area manager for the City magazine and CEO of Laisves Nepriklausomas channels, Lithuania's largest television channel. He is also a board member of TV4 and MTV Media, and chairman of the SF Cinema, Home Enter, Bonnier Amigo Music and Bonnier Feedback Media.
"It's really fun and exciting to get this offer. Through my previous work with print, television experience both as president of Lithuania's largest television channel, and board work for TV4, I hope to help to continue developing the Canal + core premium television," says Jonas Eriksson.
"Jonas has my greatest confidence and will be an excellent president and CEO of Canal +. He is absolutely the right person for the continuing to develop the Canal + basic business. His broad experience from both Bonnier and TV4 will be of great benefit," says TV4 Group CEO Jan Scherman.
The mission is to continue to develop premium television while retaining existing customers and expanding the subscriber base. Coordination between TV4 and Canal + will also continue.
