Min Announces Editorial & Design Award Winners – Bonnier Takes Home Three

Three Bonnier titles won big at the first annual Min Editorial & Design Awards, which were announced recently at New York's Grand Hyatt.

Saveur won for "Magazine Design" for its Dining in America issue. It beat out Marie Claire, House Beautiful, InStyle and Travel + Leisure. Min noted Art Director Dave Weaver's "juxtaposed image and text, people and plates so that the design embodied the editorial mission of the issue."

Popular Science and Zinio received the "Digital Magazine Edition" award for their collaborative efforts on The Green Home Guide. Here's what Min said about the winner. "The layout, graphics and editorial blocks all demonstrate how readable the digital magazine can be when publishers get beyond repurposing and start rethinking.

Parenting won for "Best Redesign" for their efforts on Parenting Early Years and Parenting School Years. "Bonnier took a big leap in rethinking its brand strategy for such an important title in its stable, and it may point the way forward for magazines looking to maintain reader loyalty with tighter audience targeting and more involving magazine experiences," Min editor Steve Cohn said. Parenting also received two honorable mentions in the categories: "Best Launch" and "How-To/Instructional."

The Min Editorial & Design Awards were designed to acknowledge the unique and ongoing contributions that magazine brands are making to print and online content.
