With triple-digit traffic increases year over year, Parenting.com has hit a series of milestones: online growth has been dramatic, rising 150 percent - 2009 versus 2008 - and the site now averages over one million unique visitors per month. Revenue has also been exceeding targets, with a 111 percent increase in digital ad sales from 2008 to 2009.
Parenting.com recently introduced a brand-new channel focusing on pregnancy - one of the most important information stages for moms online - in addition to revamping its entire site design. Moms spend an average of eight minutes on the site and view more than 13 pages. There are more than 300,000 registered users.
"The secret to Parenting.com's success has been its continued evolution to keep up with the ways that today's new moms use technology," Rachel Fishman Feddersen, editor-in-chief of Parenting.com. "Our new generation of users expects customization and immediacy in the way they receive information, and we do our best to provide users with relevant, engaging content that keeps them coming back for more."
