New ideas that deserve Bonnier's stamp of approval

Each month, Bonnier's research team scours the Web for exciting technologies and publications to share with our staff. Here's what we like right now:

  1. Two excellent Power Point presentations, published at Slide Share, on understanding and leveraging social networks. First, the extensive Let’s Get Social: Creating a Social Media Strategy that Works by Pricepoint. Second, Trendspotting’s Influencers On Social Media 2009 Predictions.
  2. The Media Year of 2008, summarized by Martin Jönsson in the daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet [In Swedish]. Martin Jönsson ended his highly regarded blog at the beginning of this year when he took on the role as managing editor of the newspaper.
  3. Truevert.com, one of the first green semantic search engines. The search engine’s interface is black in order to save energy (the idea is that black pixels require less backlighting from computer screens), and the search results are filtered based on environmental factors.

http://blackle.com by google :) Anyway, it's less of an issue with TFT flatscreens... They don't use less power when dark :)
